Not the best version
Most recipes for Loki are very closely guarded secrets. This is a half decent basis, but it's not that great. Just remember that you HAVE to let it age for around 3 months before it'll taste right. The longer it ages, the better it tastes. Some people age it in a refrigerator, while others just stick it in the back of a dark closet. Either works well enough, provided it's in an airtight container and is unopened and generally undisturbed throughout the aging process. Once it's aged about 3 months, you can drink a bit and continue aging it without ill effects, but those first few months are critical.

tastes SO good
i tried this at a rennie party and it was smooth and sweet, you can add other ingredients like root beer or cinnimon for added flavor. be careful tho because u can easily drink to much...

alternate recipe
warm water in a big pot(dont boil) and slowly add sugar until fully dissolved, sturring constantly. pour into bigger mixing container and let sugar water mix cool. add grain alcohol, still mixing. add flavors a little at a time, tasting occasionally, until its to your liking. bottle and seal for a few monthes (3 - 6). works well as a chilled drink. beware, this drink has been known to get the better of most drinkers, so drink in moderation. enjoy

tips
Make the simple sugar and let it cool completely before adding the alcohols. I use a vanilla liqueur instead of extract. The finished product about 27% alcohol by volume. The wait time is important for breaking down the sugars so it isn't syrupy. I've taken it to parties where I had to keep telling people not to mix it with vodka because they didn't believe how strong it was.
